How to use this roadmap
The dates follow the Tamil Nadu school calendar (June reopening, Quarterly around September, Half-Yearly around December, Annual around April). Keep the term goals fixed and shift chapters to match your school’s teaching order. There is no board exam in Class 7 — the aim is steady habits, not pressure.
The Class 7 year at a glance
Anchored to the TN school calendar and the Samacheer Kalvi Term I/II/III structure. Confirm 2026-27 exam dates with your school.
The weekly rhythm
- School + homework first
- 30–40 min: Maths or Science daily (textbook exercises, not just reading)
- 20–30 min: a second subject (own notes as you go)
- 10 min: daily reading + a few quiz questions to keep the habit alive
- 60–90 min: the week’s hardest topics + one short written answer set
- 20 min: Tamil / English reading aloud
- Time to play — Class 7 is a marathon, not a sprint
- 45–60 min: revise the week; update the weak-topic list
- Draw or re-label one Science diagram from the week
- Rest — protecting downtime keeps the habit sustainable
Total: about 1.5–2 focused hours on school days. Class 7 is about consistency, not long hours.
