Twice a year — Session 1 (January) and Session 2 (April). You can attempt both; the better of the two NTA percentile scores is used for ranking.

What is the difference between JEE Main and JEE Advanced?

JEE Main is for NITs, IIITs and CFTIs and is conducted by NTA. JEE Advanced is only for the IITs and is taken by the top ~2.5 lakh JEE Main qualifiers.

What is the total marks and duration of JEE Main?

Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech) is 300 marks and 3 hours — 75 questions across Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, each +4 with −1 for a wrong answer.
