How percentile & normalisation work

JEE Main is held in multiple shifts, so NTA converts raw marks to a percentile score per shift to neutralise differences in difficulty. Your percentile = the percentage of candidates who scored equal to or below you in that session.

If you attempt both sessions, the better of your two NTA scores is used, and the final All India Rank is computed from the combined percentile.
