Negative-marking strategy
A wrong answer costs you 5 marks relative to leaving it blank (−1 instead of +4). Only guess when you can eliminate at least two options — blind guessing on all doubtful questions statistically lowers your score.
Time management
A common split for the 180 minutes: Biology first (~45 min, it’s scoring and factual), then Chemistry (~45 min), then Physics (~60 min, the most calculation-heavy), leaving ~30 minutes to revisit marked questions and fill the OMR carefully.
Because NEET is OMR-based, budget the last 10–15 minutes purely for accurate bubbling — a shifted row can cost dozens of marks.
